If my private you mean hides then there could be many reasons.some guys keep porn on their phones or maybe he has lots of his ex girlfriends numbers on his phone and doesnt want you to see them,these are only a few possible answers.

I would just tell my boyfriend that this guy is making up stories that aren't true about me.
