Water is coming down from upstairs or it is back pressure from the water heater. If it is the water heater, it can come out of either side of the faucet.

Does kitchen sink need to be grounded?

It is already grounded through the faucet and water pipes. Even if the supply lines are PVC, it will still be grounded through the water.

Does eljer faucet still honor your lifetime warranty on the sink faucet assembly purchaced in 1995?

They did in 2006.

My kitchen sink faucet won't dispense hot water and the vaule is on?

Try removing the faucet aerator. If this still doesn't solve the problem check under the kitchen sink for kinked or bent pipes. Straighten them out. Doing both these things solved it for me.Now all I need to do is find an aerator that feeds more gpm so the hot water heater comes on and the water doesn't splash all over the place.

Can you disconnect the sprayer and still use the faucet?

If the sprayer hose screws onto the faucet, you can get a cap for that fitting. If it pushes into the faucet, I do not believe there is any plug available for that type. You have to have something on the hose fitting or water will come out when you turn the faucet on.

Why would a kitchen faucet turn itself on when using the washer or outside faucets?

The kitchen faucet tap is threaded and is kept stationary by an upward force from the water supply. A sudden surge of pressure from somewhere else in the pipeline releases the pressure on the tap allowing the tap to move freely. While there is still a little pressure remaining on the tap it will of course take the path of least resistance and open up a little. This seems to happen more frequently as the tap threads continue to wear. Wow that answer above??? My guess is that you have a Moen faucet they are known to do this when subjected to high line pressures and the pressure fluctuates. Check your line pressure with a gauge it should be 80 psi or less or you need a pressure reducing valve installed. The faucet probably needs the cartridge replaced. == Answer== The delta two handle faucet will do the samething. And i think any washerless faucet could do it. Replace seats, spings and cartridges.

I completely close my shower faucet but the cold water still runs it is a two tap faucet and it is just a shower not a shower bath combination what is going on?

Proably the faucet has a worn out washer, replacing the washer should fix the problem.

Does delta faucet own peerless faucet?

Delta Faucet Co. isa company owned by Masco Corporation out of Detroit, MI. In 1971 Masco introduced the Peerless Faucet for the DIY market. The design of the Peerless Faucet line is almost identical to the Delta Faucets and the internal parts are the same. I do believe that Peerless Faucets are still owned by Masco Corporation.

When I completely close my shower faucet the water still runs so to actually shut off the water I need to open the faucet a little bit What is going on?

What type of faucet is it? Is it two taps, or one, Twist to turn on/off, or push/pull? It is a one handle, twist on/off type faucet.

How do you change plumbing from a two handle faucet to a one handle faucet?

Just change it. There are still hot and cold connections underneath and all kitchen faucets fit the same holes in the sink.ANS 2 - Very easy to fit another faucet, all you need is basic handyman skills, a plumbers faucet wrench (sometimes) a medium crescent wench and a 9/16 flat wrench. Takes about 30 minutes.

When you turn on your kitchen fosset water will flow then stop then you shut it off and on before it will continue to flow None of the other fossets do this. Yes?

This isn't a Pond question, I moved it to Plumbing. But from what I have learned about plumbing from my many years of pondkeeping, you must have a restriction in your kitchen faucet line. Either the line is turned (partially) off with a valve (under the sink) or you have some kind of crud in the line that is preventing a free-flow of water; scale from old plumbing could do this. When you turn the kitchen faucet off it allows the water pressure from the house line to build back up on the faucet side of the restriction (e.g., between the valve, partially turned off, and the faucet itself.) When you turn the faucet on, this relatively small volume of pressurized water escapes from the faucet, but then it 'stops' since the restriction is blocking the free flow of water as in the rest of the pipes in the house. When you turn it off it allows a few moments to recover the pressure, then when you turn it on you get a spurt of water. And this is assuming the water pressure int he rest of the house is normal. * First look for the valve under the sink and be sure it is all the way on (in line with the pipe or turned all the way counter-clockwise, depending on the kind of valve and assuming it is installed correctly.) * Turn the water on full blast to see if the restriction is still there or will clear by itself. This could fix the problem right there. * If the valve is open and you still have this problem you better call a plumber. Depending on what kind of plumbing you have (copper, PVC, etc.), how far back in the piping the restriction is, and how much you want to learn about do-it-yourself plumbing, this could take a professional to find and fix the exact spot of the restriction. If you can trace the kitchen faucet piping line back to a juncture where it branches off to another line with a faucet that works, at least you will know in what length of the pipe the restriction is likely to be and how accessible it is. If it's anywhere in 20' of pipe and inside walls, this is probably not something you want to fix yourself. Good Fortune!

Would you do damage to a ride on mower starting it with a trickle charger still connected?

It would very unlikely, probably impossible, to damage a mower by starting it with it still on the charger

Why do your bathtub taps still leak after total replacement?
