Some video distribution sites use automated matching systems (such as YouTube's ContentID) to discover and block infringing material; other sites rely on humans to discover and block infringements, and are therefore much, much slower to notice.

What would happen to me if I uploaded the first season of Flash on YouTube?

Since this is a copyright violation, YouTube will most likely block the content pretty soon - as soon as somebody complains, usually. In addition, your account might be blocked; you might also get sued for copyright infringement - but I am not quite sure whether they usually really do this. It's certainly a possibility.

When my video on youtube is blocked for copyright reasons will removing the video take away a copyright strike?

Is it illegal to use a copyrighted website in one country and put it into a international market?

If you mean copy a site that is copyrighted in one country and then use it as if it were your own but hosted in another country, then - YES - that is illegal. You have just violated the copyright within the country. As an example: if you copy a book published in the UK and copyrighted there and then publish it and sell it in India, the UK can prosecute you - but only in the UK. Anyone selling the pirated book in the UK could be prosecuted. It might be difficult, however to get any prosecution in India unless they respect the UK copyright. The situation with copyrighted material and content of a website. People can - and do - steal content and host it on servers in other countries. The most that can usually be done is to request that the host shut it down under threat of having their entire company added to blacklists of hosting services that are automatically blocked by responsible ISPs in most countries. If you mean - is it illegal to copyright a website in one country but host it elsewhere, then - generally NO - the copyright applies to the website, not the host. To use the book analogy: if you copyright a book but use a publisher in another country to actually print it, the copyright is still valid. Nothing about copyright law says where you have to print it; it just says that no one else can copy the book and sell it without your permission within the area where it is under copyright.

Why are there so many names and logos blocked out on items in reality TV shows?

Found your question while searching for same answer. It may be copyright issue, I have read about copyright becoming more and more of an issue vis a vis display in a photograph of copyrighted works or trade marks. My personal belief is that they do not show say a "Coke" shirt because Pepsi may be advertising with them. Usually I find answers by thinking about the money interests. I could be wrong though on this one. I don't like it though, distracting for me as I try to puzzle out what was blocked out.

What are copyright strikes?

Generally a strike is a mark against your account indicating you have infringed someone's copyright. Your YouTube account, for example, can have three strikes against it before you are blocked from using the site; the Copyright Alert System takes different actions based on how many strikes are on your IP address.
