∙ 13y agoUnless the illegal immigrants are able to provide enough evidence to attain refugee or asylum status, it is IMPOSSIBLE for an illegal immigrant to become a citizen under current US law. For example, I knew a good man that had 3 kids, a wife, and a stable job; yet, he was still be deported when pulled over for a traffic violation. However, they CAN go back to their country of origin, apply for a work visa wait a few years and become a resident and then go through the naturalization process.
