If your sure it was an error caused by a loose or faulty gas cap you may have to take your Jeep in and have the error code cleared/reset, and they could check for other error codes at the same time. Added: I recently "reset" my check engine light by disconnecting the battery for about a half hour. Took a terminal connection off and went and watched a (tv) sitcom. The light was off when I reconnected and drove off.
