Why does my 1986 dodge caravan idle to fast When I start it it idles up high and then comes back down after about 1 minute When I touch the accelerator again same thing - idles high for a minute?

Check for a sticky throttle. Sometime just spraying the exterior spring mechanism with WD-40 will loosen up the throttle. Othertimes, remove the ducting from the air cleaner to access the butterfly valve. Wipe the valve clean with WD-40 or your favorite solvent. Wear nitrile gloves or equivalent.
