Why would you have hot water in your bathroom sink but not in the bathtub shower?

Shower valve is bad. Replace it.
Ans 2 - Shower valves often become plugged with debris. Many of them can simply be cleaned by carefully removing the control lever and and ball and then picking out the debris. Be careful to lay all parts in order if you dismantle it.
This may take about an hour, but is generally much simpler than replacing the unit, especially if behind a tiled wall.

∙ 15y agoDepending on whether this is a tap or a mixer. Will depend on the answer. If it is a tap, the washer could be stuck, preventing the water from coming out or it may be jammed with some form of debris. If its a mixer, the o rings inside could have slipped out of place preventing the mixing of the water properly or it may we jammed with some form of debris. Another option to look at is if the tap or pipe feeding the mixer has its own individual stop cock, it may be either closed or jammed with some form of debris.

∙ 12y agoyour hot water supply line is stopped up.it could be anywhere more than likely at the shower valve remove valve inspect then proceed towards sink and hot water tank

∙ 11y agoShower may have an anti-scald shower valve installed. If so, shower valve can be adjusted to desired temperature.
