The AC belts are probably stretched and loose. I had the same problem and replaced belts and cured squeak.
More than likely a washer vibrating in your faucet or tap.
bad brakes.
It probably means your power steering belt is loose or needs to be replaced. When you turn, the pump is under load and the belt is slipping on the pulley making a squeal.
Loose belt? Low fluid? Bad pump?
A faulty bearing wil initially squeak or squeal. Eventually it will shriek, and then it will seize up. Better to have it checked out now, before you are stranded.
I also have this problem with a 2004 Toyota Sienna. It seems that when it is cool and/or damp, then I get a whistle or squeal from the serpentine belt. I have not been able to get anyone to confirm how to adjust the belt and have not yet found the Haynes or Chiltons manual for this newer model. I'm not sure if this is the proper procedure but I WAS ABLE TO TIGHTEN the belt a little. There are two bolts on the alternator and an adjuster bolt. The ones facing the passenger side at the top rear and bottom front hold the alternator in place. By loosening those, I could then turn the adjuster bolt at the front bottom of the alternator. Due to the angle of the bolt, I needed two long extensions and a swivel. It's quite a trick using the swivel and keeping the socket on the bolt. I will watch for a while and see if I continue to get the squeal. I found one other query posted on the web about this squeal problem and mention that the dealer was not able to fix it saying it was normal. More to come if I get any new info. Thanks for any input anyone can give. This worked fine for me on our 2000 Sienna. I just would add the adjuster bolt did tighten in the usual direction -clockwise. 1/4 to 1/2 turn did it. I would say just turn enough to stop the squealing.
Automatic transmission fluid does not squeal. You have a different problem. Brakes squeal, bearings squeal, and belts squeal. Fluids do not squeal. You had better take your vehicle to a mechanic.
If you mean the brake master cylinder, then squealing might mean that you have a vacuum leak.
It all depends on how and where you drive. Stop and go traffic or highway. Hard stops or easy stops. Almost all cars today have a warning device that will emit a loud squeal when the pads need replacing. If you hear any squeal when stopping, they need replacing immediately. You can of course inspect the pads for wear at any time.It all depends on how and where you drive. Stop and go traffic or highway. Hard stops or easy stops. Here's a sentence with squeal as a verb: "The child will squeal when he opens his Christmas present." Here's a sentence with squeal as a noun: "The child's squeal was deafening as he opened his Christmas present." Let me hear you squeal like a pig.
squeal of fortune
I jumped when I heard the pig squeal. There is nothing in the world quite like a four year old girl's squeal of delight. The rambunctious teenager made his tires squeal.
