Physical stress can shear the DNA.
Stir/agitate the water. Heat the water. Make the sugar crystals smaller/expand surface area of sugar.
White and small. It also can dissolve in water very quickly
Substances dissolve more quickly when more surface area is exposed. By cutting an alka-seltzer in half, you are exposing more surface area to the solvent (water). It would dissolve even more quickly if it were cut into more pieces or crushed into a fine powder.
Depends on the pH of the water but it would dissolve faster in fresh water because there isn't as much stuff in solution. true... but it took me about 8.30 seconds to dissolve with the perfect pH.....
helps the solute to diffuse.
stir it in a solvent
if you heat it :)
slowly
The sugar cubes soften when placed in the water and begin to dissolve. The sugar cube in the hot water dissolves the fastest. Sugar will dissolve faster when you stir the solution quickly because the act of stirring increases kinetic energy which increases the temperature.
because it is a acidic beverage
Stir/agitate the water. Heat the water. Make the sugar crystals smaller/expand surface area of sugar.
Warmer water generally holds more "stuff" in solution. Because it holds more, things can dissolve more quickly.
Yes, just not as quickly
AlpenWeiss
yes it does
Solids dissolve a lot more quickly in hot water because the heat breaks up the particles more quickly, where as the cold would make the particles stay stronger/closer together :)
It will dissolve faster in fresh water.
