Any addiction is only a habit that one has started doing over and over again. It could be because they are nervous about an issue in their life so they they find a habit to preoccupy their time with because they think it will make them feel better. Therefore, it becomes an addiction.
We have addiction because we have no discipline. We are doing something without thinking that we actually do it over and over again.
