∙ 13y agoHumans take in oxygen and use it for their blood. In turn, they give off carbon dioxide. Plants do the exact opposite. They take in carbon dioxide, use it to make food inside of them, and then give off oxygen, which we humans need. Therefore, without plants, we would not survive because we would suffocate.

∙ 11y agoPlants compete with each other for water, nutrients, space and light. In order to compete for light, plants grow towards it, and the more water/nutrients they have, the more they can grow. :)
