∙ 12y agoUltrasounds are important for several reasons. The advent of sonography has made obstretics a much more precise science and pregnancy a much less worrisome experience for expecting parents. Ultrasounds can determine the cause of bleeding in early or mid late pregnancy. It also can locate the fetus. Determine the condition of the fetus. Measures the amount of amniotic fluid. Measure the size of the fetus when preterm delivery is being contemplated or when the baby is believed to be late. Also evaluate the condition of the fetus through observation of fetal activity, breathing movements and amniotic fluid. I hope I anwsered you're questions.
