Don't think you really wanted an answer, but sometimes people want others' opinions on subjects, or they just can't find it on the internet. I've tried looking up things on the Internet and couldn't find them, then a few days later, the info I needed would be on the first page listed on the search engine. This site is a way to get answers quickly, and get other people's opinions on subjects you may see only one answer to, like symptoms of diseases and what-not.
AnswerNot all answers are on the internet
I agree with the answer above. I would like to add that throughout my teaching career I have come across too many students that would rather ask me a question than make the effort to find the answer out themselves. That is, I believe, a very bad attitude indeed. Do not get me wrong, I do not mean to say that users of this web site are just lazy. I have asked my own questions too. After all, the service is free and open to all and everyone is entitled to ask and answer whatever they think fit. But when looking at *some* questions I often wonder why that person did not search, say, Google instead of posting a question in here.
But then I thought twice about the whole thing. The particular answers you want may be hard to find at times, in spite of the numerous results that search engines give you. Also, not everyone has the knowledge, the time or the patience to go through all that and, after all, there is nothing wrong in asking, is there? Another thing, many people do not have their own computer. They may be using somebody else's or access the internet from their local public library and again, it seems quite convenient to post your question here and come back when you can to check if someone gave you an answer.

I think people ask it here because in the future when somebody else googles it they come here. So we are posting at like the source so this can bea source for google.
Some possible reasons include: * they like a personal answer and it is easier to have someone else do the work; * they prefer hearing a variety of opinions collected in one place; * they don't believe everything you can find on the Internet.
because its hard to sift through all the results you get when you google something to find something actually useful. why did u just post this question? same reason. and because people have no lives and they ask pointless questions because they think its funny.
I'm guessing becase they might think that the question is stupid and that the people should know the answer already, therefore they're scarcastic.
The questions are asked because people need to know the answer. You may think your question is difficult but to someone who knows the answer it may appear stupid. It's a matter of perception.
there are two reasons, :
firstly, some people dont have a good reltionship with google,
ans secondly sometimes you get loads of websites that have no meaning to the question you ask, its just easier to ask on this.
We don't know why.We just guess. They might be young or just don't know anything.
Because they are too lazy or they simply don't know how to use the Google Search Engine.
Unfortunately they waste a lot of time this way.
Search engines do not always give a direct answer.
Wouldn't we all like to know.
Asking Questions That Can Be Found Somewhere ElseIDK lol I think this a lot when I see "stupid" questions. I think they are either too lazy to google it, or just want people wasting their time answering it.It could also be that some answers that we think can be easily found somewhere else are harder to find than one might think.Another possibility is that people like having their questions answered by another person instead of finding it on an impersonal web page.Or, it could be that people think of WikiAnswers as a fun and rewording experience and enjoy asking questions and having them answered here.Darren dislikes cheerleading. He thinks it is a demeaning and belittling form of the current masochostic society. Understanding how this affects the current state of humanity is paramount to comprehending our livelyhoods.
Because we can its a free country member. google you simple Ques.
We could all clean wiki answers by taking away all the really stupid questions.
no it is not recommended because they are only 7 and people are always asking personal questions and could be easily scammed
Not all answers are inadequate. These questions are answered by the public, so some people could just say stupid answers but some are quite adequate
Yea...its called the internet...stupid
How is it stupid? Does it not help you? It helped me in my PowerPoint about "Government." But if I put my feet in your shoes, I think you would be thinking this website only answers questions and is stupid. It really isn't though. Other people think it is very useful because you get your questions answered and they think this is a good website, like me. Sorry if I could not help you.
Write stupid questions on answers.com. You could also spend some time reading a dictionary!
There are no stupid questions, so my teachers used to say. But i think there are, and those would be the questions you could have known the answer to if you were paying better attention. Otherwise, all questions are smart questions if you are attentive and involved.
people could easily get information at any time
Well stupid, Edward is a vampire and Bella is a human and he could totally very easily squish her.
