In my research parents abuse there kids for several reasons one because when they were a child they were abused and neglected so they don't know exactly how to treat their kids better. For instance my mother neglects and has abused me in several ways DFCS has been involved several times in the past 8 years of my life. I have been in foster care and I am active caretaker when I am home. And from what I can tell from studying and paying lots of attention is because my grandmother has never really been their for her my grandmother loves me to death but doesn't show it to my mother. Over the past 8 years I have learned to take care of myself because my mother couldn't. I didn't get the childhood every kid dreams of and every adult wishes they could go back to. But back on topic... Abuse is just a mind structure that some adults are taught when they are younger. It could be anywhere from trauma to their parents abusing/neglecting them.
