They really shouldn't be swimming like that. This could be a problem with their swim bladder, which often happens with fish, especially goldfish. Also, Orandas are more sensitive because of the bubble-like protrusions on the tops of their heads. When feeding, I would suggest mixing the flakes in with the water (to avoid having your fish gulping in air with their food), or using a sinking pellet food.
It could also be a gas problem. Squishing up a few peas (canned ones are softest, but thawed frozen ones or fresh will work also) in the tank for them to eat can help with this.
Since an oranda is a type of goldfish, they will be fine together
£1.29 for ordinary Goldfish and £2.99 for any Oranda
A common goldfish can be bred with a red cap oranda fish. When these fish breed, there is a definite courtship ritual.
I believe Cleo was supposed to be an Oranda goldfish. she was large, social, had beautiful flowing fins that matched the oranda almost perfectly, and she had a bigger head and chubby cheek. Her body was also rounded like the Oranda. She liked to be touched. Orandas also like physical contact. you can look up an Oranda goldfish. She was a goldfish for sure but if I'm going to pin point what type, I'd say by personality and physical appearance that she was an Oranda. They're the most social of all the goldfis.
Hi, can i ask you to take a look at www.osaquatics.co.uk you can see panda oranda goldfish being bred there
Since an oranda is classified as a fancy variety, you can put 4 Orandas on a 55 gallon tank.
Orandas, or any other type of goldfish are egg laying fish, so they do not get pregnant
Some common breeds of goldfish are: the Black Moor goldfish, the Ryunkin goldfish, the comet goldfish, the common goldfish, the Calico Fantail goldfish, the telescope eye goldfish, the bubble eye goldfish, the pearl scale goldfish and the Oranda goldfish.
There are many similarities between angelfish and goldfish- to name one angelfish and fancy goldfish (especially the oranda) both have several long delicate fins.
What else would you expect them to swim in? Of course Goldfish swim in water.
Which type of fancy golldfihs do you mean? Oranda Goldfish have bumps on their heads, Fantail Goldifsh might have bumps on their heads, And other Goldfish propbably dont. Some of them have big eyes, like celestial.
