Well, they are not technically hands, they are feet that are adapted to an arboreal lifestyle. The big toe acts as a sort of opposable thumb in order to aid in climbing--i.e., they grasp tree trunks and branches.
Monkeys for the most part spend their lives in trees, their bodies are designed to move freely among this kind of environment, their feet are longer with longer toes with more of a grip and joint flexibility ,so they can hang grab and hold on to branches for feeding and to get away from their predictors , they also use their feet to pick things up and to bring objects to their other set of hands like an apple or a banana, they have 4 hands the lower ones have longer toes and can bend with more flexibilities then their upper hands do.
The feet of primates have evolved a grasping ability due to arboreal locomotion. Humans do not have the ability to grasp with their feet due to their role in bipedal locomotion.
Monkeys have 2 hands and 2 feet. Their feet are longer and have soles on the ends for stabilization.
They can grasp things with their feet, yes. This is very useful in tree-climbing.
So they can climb trees and do other stuff
