Abuse is a means in which one party asserts dominance over another. For whatever reason a person is driven to abuse they will typically continue to abuse their partners to fulfill their desire to dominate them after they have begun. Abuse is not single action but a pattern that persists unless action is taken.

Why do women seek out abusive men and what makes a man abusive?

Many times, women don't "seek out" abusive men necessarily, but women are often attracted to "bad" boys, and that is just the way it is, no reason for it. And of course those bad boys could end of being highly abusive. Men are abusive when they control everything in a their parter's life. There is physical abuse, and emotional abuse, and many other types. If you ever feel threatened or unsafe, that could be a sign of abuse and you have to get out of that relationship immediately before it becomes something you'll regret. Your "man" WILL ask for you back, but you just have to stay strong and listen to your heart!

Are Armenian men abusive?

Armenian men are as abusive as men from any other culture. It is unfair to pick one culture as being especially abusive when so many cases of abuse are found in every culture.

Do abusive men ever leave their partners or is it a test to see if you will call them?

Usually abusive men are in love with the control they have over their partners. They will do various things to keep the abuse going which includes leaving their partner, holding back on affection, etc. They will do ANYTHING to keep that control. So no it's not a test to see if they can get you to call them, it's a way of keeping control over their partner to break them down emotionally. Everything that is done is intentional & the abuser will get upset when they are not getting the results they are wanting and the abuse will usually escalate from there. It's a cycle and the only person that can end it is the victim. When you're in an abusive relationship it is hard to break free but know that you are putting your life at risk by continuing to stay in this situation. Good luck & God Bless!

Do abusive men fall in love?

Most abusers firmly believe that their abusive conduct is proof and indication of deep love. In their thwarted minds, abuse, intimacy, and love are inextricable. The saddest part is that many (but not all) abusers really ARE in love (whatever that means, it's such a subjective term) with their partners, and deep inside are quite horrified by the abuse they inflict.

Unfortuantley that is true. However ther are many men who had abusive fathers who have never touch their wife in anger. Likewise there are men who were never hit by their father who do abuse their wife.

Why do women stay with men who don't work and abuse them?

they stay with men who abuse them mostly because they are afraid if they tell that they will pay the price for it. And they they might stay with men who don't work because they love them A LOT. What other reason would you stay with a non working man?

Can the judge grant dad custody if he filed for custody and visitation for there toddler when he was abusive to mom and kicked them out of home but is now playing the nice guy?

It depends on related factors. In over 50% of ER Admission of women involved involving domestic violence, they state on the intake form that she attacked the man first. Also, men who are abusive to their partners abuse the children in just 8% of the cases, whereas where women who were abusive toward the men, abuse the children in 55% of the cases. Consider if 50% of the women admitted to ERs were abusive to the fathers, to which the men responded, even if excessively, how many children are in damage?Provided there's no clear evidence of abuse toward the child, there should be a consideration as being denied a father is very destructive to their future and their place in society. see link

Can a man from non-abusive upbringing become an abuser if with a partner who grew up in an abusive home with no therapy at all?

It is highly unlikely that man who does not have an abusive personality will become an abuser if their partner grew up in an abusive home and refuses help. Good men know they should never hit a woman which in some cases can lead to male abuse by a woman. The stress of being around an abusive person be it verbally or physical abuse is bound to have effects on the non abusive partner, but most men will only take so much and have the opportunity of leaving the relationship.

Will a verbal abusive woman continue to abuse in each relationship?

Generally a verbally abusive woman has control issues and she will carry them into most relationships. However, there are a few women that are verbally abusive to one or more men, but may meet a man that she is not verbally abusive to as they are better suited for each other.
