on Muslims it is an obligation to pay zakat ...
in other words it purifies our money ...
and in this way Muslims also help those who r poor and don't have enough earning to live on ...

Muslims believe in making istinja which is the washing of the genital and rectum area with water after emmission of waste matter. If using a dry material and no water is available no less than three wipes is what is obligatory. I was raised Muslim but ai am not Muslim and this is somthing I still practice

I'm not one, but a if you became an atheist you couldn't be Muslim because that pertains to the religion of Islam. I would bet that an Atheist ex-Muslim would have much less irrational fear than most people do because he/she would have a greater understanding of the religion and how it isn't about killing people, and the fact that they are Atheist would show they are using their brains and would look at facts instead of jumping to conclusions like many people do.
