Christians divorce for the same reasons that non-Christians divorce. The reasons are many and include: infidelity, domestic abuse, falling out of love with each other or by one partner, inability to have children, emotional needs are not being met, changes in world views, growing apart, Alcoholism and drug abuse, incompatibility, lack of shared goals, lack of attention, sexual incompatibility, growing in different directions, lack of spousal support, fighting over money, etc.

it is very hard for Christians to be real Chritstians to still be Christians after a divorce. e have come up with a new list of reasons why you divorce that do not ruin your relationship with God:

He beats you, he cheated on you, he beats your kids, he rapes your kids, he does not love God and doesnt want you to either, (like not letting you go to church or pray), and so on.

anything can be forgiven if there is good enough reason.
Because God gave all humans free will and sometimes marriages just can't work out. God does not want us to live in bondage: A terrible marriage is, in a sense, bondage. For example, my friend Jen had been married to her husband over 20 years. He cheated on her, blamed her and treated her badly. He was verbally abusive too. When she found out that he not only had several affairs, but he also solicited prostitutes, it was the last straw for her. She was able to forgive him but she knew she'd never trust him again. She just wanted it over...NOT to punish him, but to save her in a way because she felt better about herself and happier when the divorce was over. She started taking classes and exercising, and doing positive things including regularly attending church. She is so much happier and so much the better for it. Put yourself in her shoes for a few minutes and think about how you might feel...maybe you'll understand, maybe you won't.

Christianity is no longer one set system of beliefs. Every denomination (And there are plenty) believes in something different while all claim to be of the same religion and all claim that their beliefs are the only right ones.

It's a sin. within a marriage you promise to love each till death and therefore divorce would be breaking the promises made within the church.

Another View:

Given the above, many Christian branches allow for a process which will 'annul' a marriage according to the only reason allowable in The Bible - marital unfaithfulness (see Matthew 5:32; 19:9). See link below:
