it is not a sematic religion like Christianity and Islam. It is a samskara. No leader, no church, no organisational restrictions or rules. YOu can freely follow the books. This is a very simple answer. But Hindu is much bigger in size and it is you who decide what needs to be done. It is sort of a open source religion.

It is a religion that teaches peace and acceptance above all else. It is a religion based off of science so when they are wrong they admit it and go about their business. They have almost no terrorist groups killing people in the name of Hinduism.

Because it is most scientific, it is tolerant of all the tolerant faiths, it tells to not preach it to those who are not interested, it tells to not force religion on anyone, it tells to live sin-free, it tells to seek the truth and live per the truth, etc. So, intelligent people like to live per dharma. It is most ancient.
