King George III disapproved almost everything that happened in the American Colonies from the time he became king. He would not listen to any petition from any American legislative assembly. He failed to listen to William Pitt's protestations. He rejected Henry Blake's protests. He would only listen to his inner circle. He did not take America seriously until the British Parliament refused to vote money to send another army to America after Lord Cornwallace surrendered his army at Yorktown, Virginia.
