Bush claimed that the Iraqi people had welcomed the US troops with flowers, as they liberated the Iraqi people.
Al Zaidi, a reporter, was angry at what he called a million Iraqi casualties, a million widows, tens of thousands of handicapped Iraqis, 5 million of orphans, tens of thousands of Iraqi prisoners, and the abuses of Abu Gharib and other prisons, and the general terror inflicted upon the Iraqi people with their houses being attacked by helicopters and planes. He wanted to show the truth behind Bush's lies to the world. He was angry at Iraqis continuing to be killed by Americans or American associated groups. He claimed to belong to no political groups, and to be for peace, not war.
