She didn't want to marry solely for security but for love. That's what she wanted most with her future husband.

And it did not help that Mr. Collins was a great bore who was pracically an endentured servant by choice to Lady Catherine de Bourgh (which I am convinced could also be pronounced BOAR due to her borish behavior) -

have you read the book? if you have you will know what i am talking about. I think the real turning point was when Lizzie was visitng Mrs. Collins and she got the letter from Mr. Darcy explaining all her offences against him, like Jane and Mr. Bingly, and Mr. Wickham. then she starts to realize that she was very prejudice against Mr. Darcy and all the things that he did made sense to her and she fell in love with him. tha fact that Lydia told Lizzie that Mr. Darcy paid Wickham for their marriage also helped with that, i think.

Wickham told Elizabeth that he was Darcy's father's favorite between the two, and that he was supposed to get a job as a clergyman after he had died. Mr. Darcy supposedly cheated him out of the promise and gave the job to somebody else, and he had to "fend for himself"--which was his fault...

Elizabeth's first impression of Mr. Darcy was that he was proud, and arrogant, which made him unattractive to her. Shortly before he proposed, she also found he had been responsible for Bingley being separated from her sister, Jane, so she was very angry at him also. When he proposed, the proposal reinforced these ideas.

Mr. Darcy's letter made her realize she was not entirely correct about him. She saw his property at Pemberley, and found that the housekeeper there had a very high opinion of him. Then she found that he had gone to great pains and expense to help her sister Lydia get married. She realized her sister's upcoming marriage to Bingley had been facilitated by Darcy. And by the time he proposed to her a second time, she was willing to admit to herself that she was in love with him.
