∙ 14y agoThe Positive vs. Negative system refers to the Rh blood group system. The Rh blood group system currently consists of 50 defined blood group antigens among which the 5 antigens D, C, c, E, and e are the most important ones. When blood is referred to as positive, it contains the D antigen; when it is referred to as negative, it lacks the D antigen. The D antigen is not necessary for survival.

If someone belongs to the B blood group, you would see medical notes recording B Rh Neg or B Rh Pos.
