As a part of adaptation for the means of survival. It is basically camouflage. From the bottom it is difficult to see because it blends in with the light penetrated water above and from the top it blends in with the dark water below. Excellent for hunting and avoiding being hunted.

∙ 12y agoSO you cant see them from the top and they camouflage in the water, but white from the bottom, so it attracts the fish, that's what i think...
but there may not be an apparent reason, its just as if saying, why are some people white or Indian or black
