Andrew Carnegie felt that a library was a place of self education. That is why he donated money to so many public libraries. Libraries are a community resource. Adults that need help learning to read meet volunteers in the library to practice this skill. Students come to work on school papers. Parents bring young children to listen to story hour and bring home books to get excited about learning to read. Other people come to get books or audiobooks for entertainment. Companies send people to the library to get information to develop products or fight lawsuits.
I use the library for a peaceful place to do my homework and while I am their I know I am there for a purpose, so I am well motivated.
