Muhammad Munir was the second Chief Justice of Pakistan, from June 29, 1954 to May 2, 1960. He presided over the Court during the end of the first Democratic period, which ran from 1947-1958, and the beginning of the subsequent period of military rule, which ran from 1958-1971.
Munir is also known as the author of the infamous book from Jinnah to Zia.
