General George S. Patton, Jr. was the commander of the US Army in Europe during World War II. One of the most famous generals in American history, he also served during the Mexican Revolution and World War I. He earned many awards during his service including two Silver Stars, two Distinguished Service Crosses, and three Distinguished Service Medals as well as a Purple Heart, and Bronze Star.
