What is known as Armenian genocide is skirmishes between Turkish and Armenian villages which was started by French and Russian support. In both sides villages burnt, women raped and slaughtered. Turks got pictures, Armenians got pictures. Wikipedia shows Armenian pictures only.
which isn't true, because my great grandmother was in it and she even survived it. it was planned and organized by the Turks ONLY, and had little help from the Germans

β 13y agoDuring the Armenian genocide nearly 75% of the Armenian population was murdered and thus it affected negatively on the population's growth,and led to a step back in the Armenian culture, economy, and they had a hard time to rebuild the counrty.

These 3 men had the highest title of honour in the Ottoman empire, they were also responsible for the Armenian genocide, along other less powerfull people of course.

β 13y agoThe Armenian people as well as all people in the world are much more aware to the fact that this can actually happen. History repeats its self and this is what many people realize from this. The population of Armenia was being wiped out and brutally abused, starve, and so many other things which people did not realize or help until it was too late.

Were any national borders changed as result of armenian genocide?
No. Ottoman/Turkish borders were changed as a result of World War I in general and the Treaties of Sevres and Lausanne, but not as a result of the Armenian genocide in particular.

The Allies were generally aware of the Armenian Genocide during World War I. They were not aware of its extent or ferocity, but they were aware of its occurrence. The Allies simply could not care that the Armenians were being butchered and were helpless to do anything anyway. The genocide was occurring deep within Ottoman territory, far away from the Allied-controlled beachheads at Gallipoli or the British offensives in the southern Levant.Other Central Powers were also aware of the Armenian genocide, arguably more-so since accounts of the Armenian genocide from German diplomats are the most erudite contemporaneous accounts of the events, but did not care; the Central Powers needed Ottoman support if they stood a chance of winning the war. Why did people go to jail for talking about the Armenian Genocide?
It is ILLEGAL to speak about the Armenian Genocide in Turkey (most of Turkey was formerly Armenian homeland) because: 1. It is against Turkish Nationalistic policy to talk against Turkey - in other words if you talk against Turkey it is seen as high treason and you will be punished to the full extent of the law. 2. They deny there was ever a genocide so that they don't have any responsibility to reimburse any of the Armenian losses that occurred as a result of their forcibly removing them from their homeland and taking their possessions or enabling hardened Turkish criminals they put in charge of handling the "armenian problem". One of the most famous Armenian journalists and newspaper publishers, Hrant Dink was assassinated in full view and in broad daylight in Turkey (formerly Armenia) where his office was, on his way in to work. Instead of punishing the shooter as any civilized democratic country's government would have done - they hailed him as a HERO. The only reason why the United States has not FORCED Turkey to acknowledge the case of Genocide is because we have military bases there for strategic location and neither this president nor any of the former ones want to "rock the boat". So, whilst we are on US land, the US acknowledges it - but don't ask them to force Turkey to recognize their atrocities - they just will not do it and have openly threatened the US a couple of years ago when they were being strong-armed by the United Nations into admitting it.

Are Armenian people as dark skinned as negroes?
Not at all. Armenians are actually located in South-East Europe. We are white. However, because of the Armenian Diaspora in 1915 as a result of the genocide, many Armenians fled to the Middle-East-thus explaining why some of us have dark/olive skin. Armenians in Armenia all have light skin typical of Europeans and usually have brunette hair with brown/hazel eyes.
How was the Kurdish genocide resolved?
The Kurdish Genocide has not been resolved. Most of those responsible for the Kurdish Genocide are either awaiting trial, were killed as a result of other charges, or killed extrajudicially.
