The current lifelines (on the U.S. version) are Jump the Question, Ask the Audience, and Plus One. Jump the Question allows the contestant to skip the question, losing the cashing amount behind it, Ask the Audience allows the contestant to poll the audience for their answers to the question, and Plus One allows the contestant to bring out a relative or friend to help them answer the question.
I am sure that the majority of people would answer in the affirmative.
