If Our Lord chose to perform any miracles through St. Elizabeth, there is no record of them except for one. Elizabeth was beyond child bearing years but she gave birth to St. John the Baptist.

Elizabeth (Hebrew: 'E‧li‧she′va‛, meaning "my God is plenty" or "God of Plenty"), was

the wife of the priest Zechariah. She came from the priestly family of Aaron the Levite, and was advanced in years when the angel Gabriel appeared to Zechariah and announced that Elizabeth would give birth to John. Upon becoming pregnant, Elizabeth kept herself secluded for five months, and in the sixth month of her pregnancy she was visited by her relative Mary, who had just become pregnant with Jesus.

On that occasion the unborn John leaped in his mother's womb, and Elizabeth, filled with holy spirit, blessed Mary and the fruit of her womb, calling her "the mother of my Lord."-Luke 1:5-7, 11-13, 24, 39-43.

He had a major role of preparing the way for Jesus the Messiah and he did it unselfishly, even surrendering his life fulfilling his role. Jesus said:

Matthew 11:11New King James Version (NKJV)

11 "Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
