Missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (commonly called the "Mormon" Church) pay for their own mission. Those who do not have the ability to pay are assisted by members of their home congregation and through the Church's Missionary Fund. Proselyting supplies (pamphlets, DVD's, books, etc) are provided by the Church, with donations from Church members funding the production and shipping.
Most missionaries are asked by their mission presidents not to accept monetary gifts, but can accept other items, such as food, offered to them.
