Obito is a member of the Uchiha Clan and therefore he possessed the Sharingan.
During a fight. Obito got crushed by a huge bolder on his right side and during his last hours of life he asked Rin(a medical ninja) to transplant his left eye to Kakashi's left eyes(Kakashi's left eye was damaged by a ninja). Therefore Obito died leaving his right eye with Kakashi.
