Who discovered the nucleus in the cell?
Cell nucleus discovery The question is debatable as Thonius Philips van Leeuwenhoek (October 24, 1632 - August 30, 1723)1, Dutch scientist first observed the cell nuleus. "In 1682 he clearly described the nucleus within the red blood cells of fish, and in 1683 he noticed the sedimentation of erythrocytes from a suspension and their lysis upon addition of water."2
It was Robert Brown (December 21, 1773-June 10, 1858)3 a Scottish Botanist who observed and gave the name "cell nucleus". Brown, is best known for the discovery of Brownian motion random movement within fluids due to molecular energy of fluid and also used as a mathematical model for Stochastic processes (random i.e. financial markets, atmospheric events).2,4
Some sources site Brown and not van Leeuwenhoek as the discoverer.5

The atomic nucleus (chemistry, physics) - Ernest Rutherford * The cell nucleus (biology) - Antonie van Leeuwenhoek
The atomic nucleus was discovered by Ernest Ruthorford in the 1800's with his gold foil experiment. The earliest records of the biological (or cell) nucleus are from Antoni…e van Leeuwenhoek in 1719.
Robert Brown discovered the nucleus of the cell in 1831.
The nucleus is the very dense region consisting of nucleons (protons and neutrons) at the center of an atom. Almost all of the mass in an atom is made up from the protons and …neutrons in the nucleus, with a very small contribution from the orbiting electrons. It was discovered in 1911, as a result of Ernest Rutherford's interpretation of the famous 1909 Rutherford experiment performed by Hans Geiger and Ernest Marsden, under the direction of Rutherford. The diameter of the nucleus is in the range of 1.75 FM (1.75Ã10â15 m) for hydrogen (the diameter of a single proton) to about 15 FM for the heaviest atoms, such as uranium. These dimensions are much smaller than the diameter of the atom itself (nucleus + electronic cloud), by a factor of about 23,000 (uranium) to about 145,000 (hydrogen).
English physicist Ernest Rutherford is credited with discoveringthe nucleus in the early 1900s. He discovered the nucleus during anexperiment in which the physicists beamed al…pha particles at a thinsheet of gold foil. When most of the particles passed through thegold foil onto the screen behind it, but some were deflected,Rutherford determined that the particles that made up the gold foilmust consist mostly of empty space. However, he concluded, someregions of the gold must have been too dense to allow the alphaparticles through, and this heavy part of the atom was whatRutherford called the nucleus.
Only after the discovery of cathode rays in a discharge tube, scientists thought about the neutral nature of the atoms. Hence they imagined in different ways. So they proposed… different atom models. Then after the famous alpha particle scattering experiement the idea about the nucleus was introduced by Ernest Rutherford in 1909-1911.
He discovered it with one of those old microscopes
Robert Brown in 1831. Hope this helps! -Zoey Brown
he didn't he discovered the nucleolus

A German scientist SHWANN discovered the animal cell with nucleus.
Rutherford and his gold foil experiment are given the credit for this. When the beta particles bounced off the gold foil more than even the largest margin of error based on cu…rrent atomic knowledge, Rutherford figured that there was something material in the center repelling the heavy particles.
