The so called "ghosts" in the Ghost Dance are the spirits of our ancestors.
Yes.
Every ghost is different, but most ghosts want some form of help, such as help crossing over into the afterlife or finishing some business before they leave. Some ghosts are more sinister and want to harm you, while others - such as the ghosts of children or loved ones - just want to talk to someone.

If someone believes in ghosts they may feel that PS12 is haunted. However, you would need factual and scientific proof of ghosts before everyone would believe that the place is haunted.
Science believes in dead people because there is incontrovertible proof that people do indeed die. Science is still studying the existence of ghosts, with currently often conflicting results.
One opinion believes that none of the events in "Ghost Adventures" are true because ghosts don't exist however another opinion believes that everything in "Ghost Adventures" that they capture is true because there is a probablity of ghosts existing because there is no solid concrete proof in regards to what happens to humans once they pass on to the other side.
As a person who neither believes in ghosts and spirits nor God, I can still see it as a rational possibility to believe in ghosts and spirits but not God - just as it is rationally possible to believe in God but not ghosts and perhaps not even spirits. It is also possible to believe in ghosts and spirits as well as other gods, but not the abrahamic God. It is up to you what you believe, as long as you can rationalise your own beliefs and do no harm to others. Yes, you can believe in Ghosts (or spirits) and not of god. I have had experienced with Ghost [Energy] but not of a god.
Not everyone believes in ghosts. Often, if not always, ghosts are in people's heads. The living people learn that a horrible murder happened in a certain home (for example) and as long as people know this fact it "haunts" them. The ghosts last as long as people "know" that they are there. In other words, if you don't know the history of a house, the ghosts are "unknown" and once the house has lost it's history it is much less likely that anyone will believe that it has ghosts. There are many unexplainable noises, shadows, and events in daily life. When these happen in a "haunted" home they are attributed to the "ghosts".
It's impossible because fairies do not exist! Tinker Bell does NOT exist. Relating to that, a 7th grade girl who rides my bus believes in ghosts AND fairies.
