Article 2 Section 4 U.S. Constitution "The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors."

Anyone can be impeached, Supreme Court justices, federal judges, Cabinet members, directer of the FBI, CIA. Impeachment itself simply means to bring charges against. Only the House of Representatives can impeach the President and certain other federal officers. Once impeached, the Senate puts them on trial and may remove them from office

House and Senate impeaches, tries, and removes it's own members.

Holders of public office at other levels of government can be impeached through other paths. For example, a Governor or state judge is impeached through processes specified by the particular state.

The House of Representatives in the United States is the only group of people that can impeach the President of the United States. If a president is to be impeached there will be a trial or hearing and the Senate is responsible for organizing and holding this trial or hearing.
