It's a good idea not to. Remember, your skin (including scalp) is the largest breathing organ of your body) and what you put on your skin or scalp is absorbed into the body. As you get further along in your pregnancy consider a shorter cut that is easier for you to maintain and keep you looking nice.

∙ 15y agoI'm a hairstylist, not a doctor... but I've always been told that it's the ammonia in the hair color that SOME doctors recommend you avoid while pregnant. There are several professional haircolor brands that are ammonia free. They are available in semi-permanent as well as permanent. I would recommend talking to your OB/GYN and then speaking to a professional hairstylist to determine what would be best for you! Good Luck!
