All waves of the electromagnetic spectrum have the same speeds but different frequencies and wavelengths. So, wavelength is important for defining the regions in the electromagnetic spectrum (frequency would have been equally useful)
A parachute would help you float safely to the ground from an airplane.
Well one way to look at it is that a photon IS an electromagnetic field. The photon is the gauge particle for the electromagnetic force. Without photons there would be no electromagnetic interaction force, and therefore no electromagnetic fields.
You could certainly call it that if you like, but most people wouldn't know what you mean. Many of them would understand you better if you called it the "electromagnetic spectrum", (while the rest would still be lost).
The motor in a vacuum cleaner is an electromagnetic device.
A telescope would give you a detailed view.

A laser measuring device is useful in most any construction job as it is a very accurate tool. It is useful for remodeling jobs as well as upgrades in homes.
A dose meter or perhaps a Geiger counter.

You cannot directly plug a 110v device into a 220v outlet. This can cause damage to the device or even create a safety hazard. You would need a voltage converter or transformer to safely convert the 220v outlet to the appropriate voltage for the 110v device.
I would call it an electromagnetic wave, or electromagnetic energy.
Basically, a Q-point of any device gives information about the operating current & voltage of that particular device..This would help us to know about the max. & min. current or voltage upto which the can be operated safely.
I would imagine that they would - by definition!
Different devices are used to detect different frequency ranges of electromagnetic waves. You simply can't use the same device to detect x-rays, than you would use to detect radio waves, for example.
