The concept of a tree of life as a many-branched tree illustrating the idea that all life on earth is related has been used in science, religion, philosophy, mythology, and other areas. A tree of life is variously;

  1. a motif in various world theologies, mythologies, and philosophies;
  2. a metaphor for the livelihood of the spirit.
  3. a mystical concept alluding to the interconnectedness of all life on our planet; and
  4. a metaphor for common descent in the evolutionary sense.

According to the Encyclopedia Britannica, the tree of knowledge, connecting to heaven and the underworld, and the tree of life, connecting all forms of creation, are both forms of the world tree or cosmic tree. According to some scholars, the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, portrayed in various religions and philosophies, are the same tree.

The Tree of Life was in the garden of Eden. When Adam and Eve ate from it, it gave them the power to live eternally. Which is why they weren't allowed to eat from it when they sinned. that way they wouldn't live eternally in sin and basically be screwed. It says in The Bible that the Treee of Life will be in heaven. The only answer I can think of in that reference is that we'll live forever in happiness in heaven. Sorry if

this doesn't help.

According to Genesis, God planted two trees in the Garden of Evil. One - the "Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil" is what is described above. The other is the "Tree of Life." In Judaism, the Hebrew term for the latter is "Eitz Chaim." This phrase is also found in the Book of Proverbs, where it is associated with wisdom and calmness. It is used widely in Judaism, to apply to the Torah itself, as well as the wooden poles to which the parchment of the Sefer Torah is attached. It is also a common name for synagogues and yeshivas.
