Following telophase, in an animal cell cytokinesis occurs where the cytoplasm divides by the formation of a cleavage furrow. Instead of cytokinesis, a plant cell forms a new cell wall dividing the two daughter cells.

Where does mitosis occur in a plan?

In a plant, mitosis occurs in the plant's cells, the process is the same as mitosis in an animal cell, but the rigid cell wall does not move.

What does not occur in plants cell mitosis but does occur in animal cell mitosis?

Astral rays does occur in animal cells not in plant cell

Is mitosis occurs in both plants and animals?

Yes, mitosis occurs both in plants, as well as animals. Mitosis is the reproduction of an organism's cells. For example, when a woman who is pregnant waits for her child to be born, mitosis occurs. Same thing with plants. Hope that helped!

What does not occurs in plant cell mitoses but does in animal cell mitosis?

Does not form a cell wall

What type of cells use mitosis?

Mitosis occurs in Multicellular Organisms (Plant & Animal Cells).

Enumerate plant parts where in mitosis occurs?

roots of the plant

In plant cells where does mitosis occur most frequently?

Most often mitosis occurs near the apical meristem which is located in the main root tip, at the auxiliary buds and at the very top of the main stem. Mitosis does not occur at the meristems, but usually very close behind them

Where else in an onion plant does mitosis occur?

in the shell

Is centrioles in animal cell the resason why plant cell are difer with mitosis in it?

Centrioles present only in animal cells. It makes a difference between plant and animal mitosis.

What results in animal and plant growth?

Mitosis .

What does it called when the cytoplasm of a cell divides?

It's called cytokinesis. Cytokinesis occurs after the last stage of mitosis which is telophase (nucleus reforms, spindle fiber go away). Cytokinesis is different between plant and animal cells. In plant cells, the cells creates a cell wall through the cytoplasm and between the nuclei, splitting the "mother cell" into two "daughter cells. In animal cells, the cell begins to furrow in the middle and splits off into two. Without cytokinesis, complete cell division cannot occur. If cytokinesis does not occur and only mitosis occurs in the cell, the cell will become cancerous and hazardous to the organism that it is a part of.

What percentage of the time are the plant and animal cells not undergoing mitosis?

Plant cells are 33% Animal cells are 43.6%
