That list would be far too extensive for this forum. Vocalists might be an easier start and even that list may test everyone's patience since some names may be obscure or of a genre that is of little interest. In 2007 Opera lost Luciano Pavarotti, Rose Brampton, Elfi von Dassanowsy, Nicola Zaccarria, Natalie Bodanya, Beverly Sills, Edgar Evans and Guiseppe Valdango. Rap artists Big Moe, Pimp C, and Mr. Fat all died. King Kong and Lucky Dube from Reggae and "Doo-Wop" lost Hank Medress, while Salsa buried Tito Gomes. Several artists crossed stylistic boundaries during their careers, and a few simply defy classification like Robert Goulet, Henrietta Valor, John Wallowitch, Denny Doherty, Billy Henderson and John "Donnie Brooks" Abohosh. Country or Country Western lost Porter Wagoner, Hank Thomson, Del Reeves and other lesser known but noteworthy artists like: Henson Cargill, Betty Hutton, Doyle Holly, Janis Martin, Jim Nesbitt and Lee Hazelwood. Artists generally in the genre of Rythym and Blues, Jazz or Hip Hop included: Oliver Morgan, LaLa Brown, Tony Thompson, Luther Ingram, Clarence Tex Walker, Bill Pinkey, Pookie Hudson, Dakota Staton, Myrna "Peach" Brown and Jon Lucien. Folk artists Martti Poleka and Mark Spoelstra died along with "Soul" singer Bobby Byrd. Pop Artists included Werner Von Trapp, Freddie Scott, Haywood "Little Sonny" Warner, Lynne Randall, Ken Albers, Lynne Randall, Zola Taylor, Randy Van Home, Nicky James, Char Fontane and, of course, Mr. Hawaii himself, Don "Suck 'em Up" Ho. Oh yes, there was also Bobby "Boris" Pickett, notable and even famous for his 1962 unforgettable smash "Monster Mash," after which he was hardly ever heard from again.
