if you are talking about the coil and boxes...then it gives the a bigger spark for a longer period of time, but if you're runnning turbos and junk...don't, just buy some plugs and wires
if you are talking about distirbors: its just the mechnical parts that are billet and alot stronger, including all the contacts and rotor cap etc. basically a stronger disturbor and will give you better contact.
Nonetheless, if your running a n/a do it..its well worth.
example: i have a 1973 Mazda rx3 with a 13b rotary engine. i threw a 600 holley on it, stock ignition. 110hp and 91 ft lbs hahaha. i change the ignition to full MSD it went up 138hp and 109 ft lbs..pretty big gain, and my buddies who have camaros and junk say they feel a difference so i think its well worth it. a box is about $220 and the coil is $30 and go nuts if you want with the disturbor and its about $130- $200 but it will give you good throttle response and cleaning running and no staslling or bogging.
hope that helps

Battery, kickstarter, ignition, ignition coil,
A bad ignition switch can shut down a vehicle's electrical system. Ignition switches have been the cause of a major recall by General Motors.
According to Wikipedia, a magneto starter, also called the ignition magneto, provides current or pulses for the ignition system of a spark-ignition engine, like fuel engines.
Are you talking about the electronic ignition module or the ignition switch? The ignition module sits in the engine compartment and is part of the ignition system (coil, spark plugs, etc). The answer is no if this about what you're referring. The answer for the ignition switch will depend on the vehicle you have. Some, like late model Fords, you don't. Push in the retaining pin and the ignition switch comes right out (you still need a key though). Others you need to take off the steering wheel to replace the switch.
Regarding a model 1997,2 liter sonata, there is not an ignition control module as such. Ignition control comes from the ECM (ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT) through the Ignition Power Transistor (often called Igniter) and then to the Ignition coil.I do not have any information on the 1.8 or the 3.0 liter models.
a primary advantage of the electronic ignition system over conventional ignition system is?
Nikolas Tesla invented the ignition system in 1898.
It keeps sparks out when ignition of the engine
inside the distributor
advanced microprocessor ignition system is the one which uses it.........thats all i know...........
A computer should not have an ignition system.
explain the flow of current in ignition system
Battery, kickstarter, ignition, ignition coil,
The Ignition system opperates the ellectrical equipment required to ignite the fuel in the engine.
The ignition system on it is D.I.S. ( Distributorless Ignition System)

In a nonelectronic small engine ignition system, which of the following ignition components is energized by the power source first?
