Right hand thread
You just go over the last stitch back and forth for a few seconds, this makes it sturdy enough to hold. if you like you can do the same over the first stitch. To tie a quilt by hand, you go to each point where four squares meet and place a piece of yarn/thread that you then tie. To do this by machine, you would place each intersection under the needle, sew an x, then pull enough thread out to tie a knot by hand.
It is a right hand thread.
black bow tie
Hi there - you don't tie it on. You weave it in. Start about an inch before the end and weave the new thread in until you are at the point whre the old thread runs out . It creates a nice reinforcement.

Hand sewing is done by using a needle with thread, and joining two fabrics with the thread. Generally, for hand sewing, you would choose a thread size based on what you're sewing. The higher the wt number, the lighter (or finer) the thread is.
Regular right hand thread to my knowledge, lefty-loosey, righty-tighty.

A white tie. Or, for a "stealth" look, a black tie.
