It is number 41 and it is a 15 amp fuse.
There are two hidden carpeted doors on each side of the center counsel by your calf. Driver side has most of your aux. IE: cigarette lighter.
There is a second fuse box on the driver's side of the dash board. Open the driver's door all the way and look where the door met the left side of the instrument console. There is a finger hole to pull the panel off. Cigarette lighter fuse is #17.
The fuse panel is under the hood on the driver's side. The 20A cigarette lighter fuse is #13.

you have to replace the appropiate fuse labeled "cigarette lighter" in the fuse box inside your car around the driver dash side.

There are 2 fuse panels on a 1997 Mercedes Benz C280. One is located in the trunk beside the battery, the other is located by the fire wall on the driver's side. The fuse for the cigarette lighter is in the fuse panel by the driver's side firewall. There should be a label telling what fuses do what, if there is not...fuse 14 is the one for the cegarette lighter.

On my 2004 Express, the cigarette lighter is fuse #30 in the engine compartment. It is located to the right as you face the engine compartment. It is a 15 amp fuse. The fuse next to it is a 20 amp for the auxiliary power (the second cigarette lighter). There is also another fuse box under the driver's seat.
