The support of self government for all people
Mark Twain displayed a critical attitude towards American imperialism, condemning the exploitation of other countries and cultures for economic and political gain. He believed that imperialism went against the principles of democracy and freedom, and criticized the actions of the United States in countries like the Philippines. Twain's writings on imperialism reflected a deep sense of moral outrage and a commitment to social justice.
Mark Twain was against them. He didn't believe that America had the right to boss other countries around when it is only benefiting America. He thinks that America had no business doing so. He thinks it is the same as what the British did to the Americans before, What America fought against.
Mark Twain did not like imperialism. He felt it was similar to racism.
" I thought we should act as their protector -- not try to get them under our heel. We were to relieve them from Spanish tyranny to enable them to set up a government of their own, and we were to stand by and see that it got a fair trial. It was not to be a government according to our ideas, but a government that represented the feeling of the majority of the Filipinos, a government according to Filipino ideas. That would have been a worthy mission for the United States. But now -- why, we have got into a mess, a quagmire from which each fresh step renders the difficulty of extrication immensely greater. I'm sure I wish I could see what we were getting out of it, and all it means to us as a nation."

America declaring war on Japan and Nazi Germany instead of ignoring European and Asian imperialism.
A sperm whale's attitude is usually nice except when they attack.
It didn't. The Spanish American War was almost half a century before World War II and had nothing whatsoever to do with Hawaii. Michael Montagne In the recent book "Flyboys" (highly recommended) the author makes some interesting connections between European/Western imperialism and the Japanese imperialism that led up to World War II and the attack on Pearl Harbor. During the Spanish-American War the US kicked the imperialist Spanish out of the Americas, but in some ways, replaced it with an American brand of imperialism. The Japanese believed they were exercising the same sort of power over their own backyard in Asia.
Same reason Great Britain attacked whomever....Imperialism.
No, viruses cannot attack a display/monitor. They have no real operating system.
The bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki that was done to stop the needless American deaths in a war that started with a sneak attack by Japan on the Hawaiian islands.
Attack Journalism
American aircraft carriers were out at sea at the time of the attack
The reason that american soldiers attitude changed was because they were attacked. Unlike WW1 Korea and Vietnam were they were drawn into the conflict, pearl harbour was a sneak attack on the US, a low blow or cheap shot if you will. This filled americans with anger and made them unite.
The alligator will attack humans, but not on a regular basis.
