Which invader of the Roman Empire came from the farthest eastern point?

The western part of the Roman Empire was invaded by two Germanic groups, the Vandals and the Sueves and an Iranian-speaking group, the Alans. At the time of the invasion, the Vandals lived in the Roman province of Pannonia (along the mid-Danube river, in present day eastern Austria and western Hungary) where they had been allowed to settle by the emperor Constantine the Great. The Vandals were original from southern Scandinavia and had moved to Silesia (in present day Poland) and then to present day north-eastern Romania. They moved to Pannonia because they had been put under pressure by a westward expansion of the Goths. The Sueves were originally from Hesse, in central Germany. They were an alliance of tribe. They also expanded into some areas of northern Germany and later they played a major role in the formation of the Alemanni, another federation of Germanic peoples who pushed into southern Germany. At the time of the invasion, the Alans lived in Pannonia with the Vandals. A federation of Ostrogoths, Alans and Huns was allowed to settle there by the emperor Gratian in 380. In term of origin, the Alans were the ones who had come from further east. It is thought that The Alans were an amalgamation of Iranian-speaking peoples which originally lived in what the Chinese called Yancai (Vast Steppe) which was centred near the Aral Sea (a large lake between n Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in Central Asia during the period of the Han dynasty. It was subjugated by the Kangju, a people who had a kingdom in Central Asia, in the first century B.C. This caused westward migrations of the locals. The Alans became the dominant group among the Sarmatians (Iranian-speaking peoples) who lived between the Sea of Azov (which linked to the Black Sea by a strait) in Ukraine to the Caspian Sea, between by Russia and Azerbaijan. In the early third century A.D. the Goths expanded into Ukraine and the Alans migrated to the west of the Sea of Arzov and the River Don. With the Hunnic invasion in 370 some Alans came under Hun domination, some stayed in the Caucasus and some moved west to the Hungarian plain by the River Danube. Due to pressure from Germanic people, they then moved west again, to Pannonia.
