Philadelphia, because it was the first mint they never really needed a mint mark to differentiate themselves from any other mint, so when the other mints were built, they just kept it the same.

What if there's no mint mark on a coin?

For most US coins, it means the coin was minted at Philadelphia before 1980, when the P mint mark was adopted. Cents minted at Philadelphia and West Point don't have mint marks, and all coins dated 1965 through 1967 don't have mint marks regardless of where they were produced.

Why does my coin not have a mint mark?

If your coin does not have a mint mark then it means it was minted at the Philadelphia mint. These coins are usually not as rare. However recently P mint marks were added to coins to indicate that they were made at the Philadelphia mint.

How many half dollars were minted by the Denver mint from 1965 to 1967?

None of the US Mints placed mint marks on their coins from 1965 through 1967. Even if there is a way to know how many were minted in Denver it wouldn't matter because there is no way to know which coins they are.

Australian Threepences minted from 1910 to 1915 were minted at the Royal Mint London and have no mintmark. Australian Threepences minted from 1942 to 1944 were minted at the Melbourne Mint, the San Francisco Mint (USA) and the Denver Mint (USA). The coins minted at the Melbourne Mint have no mintmark. Coins minted at the San Francisco Mint will have an "S" below the units digit of the date. Coins minted at the Denver Mint will have a "D" below the units digit of the date. Australian Threepences minted from 1947 to 1964 were minted at the Melbourne Mint and have no mintmark. Some Australian Threepences minted in 1951 were minted at the Royal Mint London. The mintmark is "PL". The "P" appears above the first "E" in "THREE", the "L" appears above the "E" in "PENCE".

I know there weren't mint marks in 65-67 What is the value of a 1968 and a 1969 quarter with no mint mark is this an error?

It isn't an error, on most coins, the Philadelphia Mint didn't get a mintmark until 1980. So your coins were simply minted at the Philadelphia mint and not an error.

Why is there a small square underneath the date of my penny?

It's not a square. It's the letter "D" indicating that the coin was minted in Denver. Cents minted in Philadelphia don't have mint marks. Other coins minted in Philadelphia and dated 1980 or later have a P mint mark.

Is there a way to determine where a penny is made?

In the US, there will be a mint mark on the coin if it was minted in Denver or San Francisco (the letter D or S respectively). If there is no mint mark, it was minted in Philadelphia. The exception to this is that coins minted from 1965-67 don't have mint marks even if they were minted outside of Philadelphia, so for those years you can't really tell.
