Where is the throttle cable in a 1998 Chrysler sebring LXI 2.5liter?
the throttle cable come in two pieces unless you want to replace the whole thing from the peddle up. the cable rest on the back of your intake and runs towards the left on your firwall and into the firewall box..

\n. \n Could be fuse... \n. \nNot sure if this is the answer, but if the tachometer display highlights all the gears (P R N D 2 1) and it won't switch out of first gear…, then it's probably this: one of the 20A fuses in the fuse panel the controls the PCM (?) has blown. I had the typical starter-fuse-blow issue that these cars are famous for, so I harvested another 20A fuse to try to get home one evening... but it caused this condition where the car ran only in 1st gear. So look for one of the little yellow fuses related to transmission - there are only 4 or 5 as I recall.\n. \nBTW, the starter fuse is known to be the symptom when the starter is going bad - tries to draw more current, and trips the fuse. Changed mine, and no problems again...\nI had a electromagnetic sensor in the transmission cause this. When the sensor picks up metalic particles it goes into a limp mode until the transmission is serviced.

On the 2.5L V6 the thermostat is located under the housing where the lower raditor hose is hooked the the engine.
Take out the horn relay switch in an emergency. Without the alarm sounding off you can actually start to think...um...
LXI stands for the Luxury design of the Chrysler Sebring. It has an improved trim and other features that the normal Sebring does not.
