Purchase a repair manual from the parts store where you're going to buy the starter from. It will describe the procedure, which is not difficult actually. You are not going to want to take this project on from the answers you are going to receive in a forum such as this. Be safe and do it properly. Buy a repair manual and prepare to get your hands dirty.

It is on the right side of the engine and hard to get to. I suggest taking it to the garage.
It is on the lower right side of the engine, its much more axcessable from underneath the car.
V6 right? Front of the engine, below the exhaust manifold. Disconnect the negative battey cable FIRST, then lay under the bumper and remove the 2 wires at the starter. Either 2 or 3 bolts hold the starter in place. Reverse to install. Just did one of these on a 92 Voyager. Takes about 30-45 minutes. Not real difficult, take your time and wear safety glasses to falling debris out of your eyes.
Looking from the front of the engine the starter sits below the intake manifold. Remove the expansion tank (2 star bolts) and the heat shield over the manifold (4 or 5 bolts) and you should be able to see the solenoid. You have to go under the vehicle to get to the bottom bolt. Very tight and difficult to get to the bolts but doable.
