There are two semilunar valves, one is located at the top of the right side of the heart, just before the pulmonary trunk leading to the pulmonary arteries, the other is located at the top of the left side of the heart, just before the aorta. They both prevent backflow of blood to the heart.

there are two semilunar valves so I will keep my answer specific to all 4 heart valves. They simply keep blood from regurgitating back into the vessels or chambers from where the blood came from. The 2 semilunar valves (aortic and pulmonic) keep blood from backflowing into the left ventricle and right ventricle respectively.

There are actually two. The aortic and pulmonary semi-lunar valves are located at the exit of their corresponding ventricles (of the heart) and open to allow blood to exit the heart

This heart chamber pumps blood through the aortic semilunar valve?

pulmonary semilunar valve

Is true the chordae tendineae anchor the semilunar valves to the walls of the ventricles?

No. in my opinion, Chordae tendineae is attached to Tricuspid valve and bicuspid valve. Both valves do not have semilunar valves. Pulmonary valve and Aortic valve has semilunar valve.

Blood leaves through the semilunar valve and goes into the?

Blood leaving the the right ventricle through the pulmonary semilunar valve moves toward the lungs. Blood leaving the left ventricle though the aortic semilunar valve moves toward every where but the lungs.

What AV and semilunar valve positions during ventricular diastole?

The AV valve is open and the semilunar valve is closed during ventricular diastole.

What valve prevents blood back flow from aorta to left ventricle?

Pulmonary semilunar valve (pulmonary valve)

Damage to the semilunar valves on the left semilunar valve would interfere with blood flow to which vessel?

Damage to the left semilunar valve would interfere with blood flow to the aorta.

What two blood vessels contain semilunar valves?

Right at the very start of the aorta is the aortic valve and at the very start of the pulmonary artery is the pulmonart valve, each of which are semilunar. In the heart there are two semilunar valves that lad to blood vessels. The pulmonary semilunar valve leads to the pulmonary trunk, and the Aortic semilunar valve leads to the Aorta.

Where does blood flow from when it passes through the semilunar valve and into the lungs?

Semilunar valves are found throughout the body in veins, as they prevent backflow of deoxygenated blood. In the heart, there are two semilunar valves, the pulmonary semilunar valve and the aortic semilunar valve. The pulmonary semilunar valve is the gateway to the pulmonary artery, which then goes to the lungs. The aortic semilunar valve is the gateway to the aorta, which distributes oxygenated blood to the rest of the body.

What valve is the gatekeeper to the systemic circuit?

Aortic Semilunar Valve

How do you auscultate the aortic semilunar valve?

The aortic semilunar valve is auscultated by placing a stethoscope next to the sternum in the second intercostal space.

What valve is at the entrance to the aorta?

The heart pumps blood from the left ventricle through the aortic semilunar valve into the Aorta.
